Quality

Millifoods is committed to the production and sale of food that meets the highest possible quality and safety standards and expectations of its customers.

This goal is achieved by the implementation of an HACCP and quality system to control the entire process from raw material source to the despatch and delivery of the final product to the consumer.

The BRC accredited factory has been awarded the Gold Certificate in Clean Food Awards by the local authority; all staff have Food Hygiene Certification and soon they will have all completed NVQ training in food manufacturing.

The site environment and production process is controlled and regularly reviewed to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice and with the most recent and relevant legislative code applying to the industry. The company also engages with its customers and staff and welcomes feedback relating to improvement within its quality systems and procedures.

Product components are batched and mixed according to specified recipes using accurate weigh scales. Dishes are manufactured according to factory specification which details cooking times, temperature and method. Weight and temperature checks are fully documented. Monitoring equipment is calibrated, verified and serviced and food is tested a minimum of once an hour – usually every thirty minutes.
